Final Garden to Table
It was Room 24's final Garden to Table session for the year today. Traditionally, this means the students get to have pizza cooked in the school's pizza oven. A variety of toppings are prepared with vegetables and herbs from the garden, and the pizzas are cooked within a few minutes.
It's definitely a favourite session, with no pizza left uneaten.
A huge thank you to Sarah and the volunteers for the skills you share with the students.

Caught Being Good Week 10 Term 1
Last week, Jude and Pene were the recipients of Room 24's Caught Being Good certificates.
Pene put in the hard mahi during our Garden to Table session, removing loads of plastic from our garden beds.
Jude consistently contributes his thoughts and ideas during our class discussions.
A super effort, boys. keep up the fantastic work.
Kauri BIG Splash!
Today, Kauri team had their 'Kauri Big Splash' swimming sports event.
12 different events ensured all students could participate in multiple races or relays. Some of the races were competitive (freestyle and backstroke), while others were more social events (dolphin dive, bucket relay, noodle tow, etc).
It was fantastic to see so many students enjoying themselves, as well as demonstrating all of our school values.

Week 10 Garden to Table
It was a Pacific islands feast at Garden to Table this week. The children were treated to a traditional coconut opening and scaping demonstration. I'm sure that it is harder than it was made to look!
The students in the kitchen also peeled green bananas, grated Samoan chocolate, and peeled taro with the end of a can.
A fantastic experience for everyone.
