Green Week
This week at Owairaka School is Green Week and we have a focus on native birds. This morning, we were fortunate enough to have park ranger Virginia Best in to talk to us about some of our native birds and a few of their predators. She brought in a few taxidermy birds and predators too.

Term 3's Focus
This term in Room 7, we have a focus in literacy of Everyday Heroes. We will be looking at heroes within our community and within New Zealand and what makes them heroes.
Children will be posting the majority of their work to their personal blogs, so make sure that you regularly check those out.
