Garden to Table

 During our Garden to Table session with Ms. Best today, the Huarakau group was in the garden.  We were learning about the different kinds of ladybirds, their life cycle, and the important role they play in our gardens.

We learned that the harlequin ladybird is an introduced species and is considered a pest.   

With some great investigating skills, the group was able to find three examples of the four different stages of a ladybird's life cycle.

Book Week

Football Skills

 Every Tuesday for the rest of the term, and into Term 2 as well, Room 24 has football skills sessions with Auckland Football Club. The class have been enjoying themselves, are fully engaged, and are coming away hot from their sessions.
