Kia ora In Room 24 we think that the girls were willing to dig up the graves to make money for new trays, rent for the apartment, and more food as they didn't make enough as a tea boy or reading letters. We think they spoke to Mr Skull as a way to get permission to dig up the graves, to set an example - to make sure they were doing it right, like her war their boss. We also think that it was to have a bit of fun, so their job didn't seem so serious.
